ABOUT

SUPPORT OUR CAMPAIGN

DON'S PRIORITIES

PRIORITIES

FISCAL
RESPONSIBILITY

The CCISD School Board must continue to be responsible with taxpayer money, and ensure as much of our budget is dedicated to our students’ success. This includes providing all our students throughout the district with the best tools & technology they need to be successful. At the same time, we must continue to work with our state partners to find additional funding sources dedicated to students in public education.

INVEST IN
STUDENTS

CCISD must continue its efforts to provide various educational opportunities that are tailored to reflect the specific needs & priorities of the community as a whole. Now that CCISD is a District of Innovation, we have more local control over various aspects of district operations, which fosters a better educational environment that prioritizes student success.

SUPPORT

TEACHERS

CCISD teachers are the catalyst for our students’ success. Without the best teachers we cannot have the best students. As many school districts across Texas are learning is that without competitive salaries and benefits, we will never attract the top teachers from across Texas. I am proud that during my 4 years on the CCISD School Board, we have found ways to reward teachers for their hard work every year, even though we have seen no help from the state. I wholeheartedly support ourTeacher Incentive Allotment program.  This is one of the broadest packages in Texas and enables our teachers to significantly increase their earnings to help support their families.
